This Squirrel Hill home had a worn brown shingle roof with damaged spots across the slopes. In November 2025 our crew tore it off and replaced it with new gray architectural shingles. The drone photos follow the job from the old roof to the finished one.
Squirrel Hill is one of Pittsburgh’s busiest East End neighborhoods, with large older homes on tight lots and plenty of tall trees. That means steep roofs, hip roofs and porch roofs that all have to come together cleanly, and very little room to work on the ground. This home had a hip roof over the main house and a separate front porch roof, and both were worn out.
“What a positive experience!” Andrew S., Google review
The old roof had bare and damaged areas visible from the air. On a hip roof, every hip line is a seam, so worn shingles there let water in quickly. Replacing the full roof gave the house new shingles on every slope and straight, sealed hip lines from the peak down to the porch.
