This Glassport home had an old brown shingle roof that had faded and worn thin across both sections of the house. In October 2025 our crew tore it off, put down new underlayment and installed a complete gray architectural shingle roof. The drone photos show the roof before, during and after.
Glassport is a small borough along the Monongahela River, across from the Mon Valley mill towns, where many homes are older two story houses built close together with additions off the back. This house had two roof sections that had aged at the same rate, so patching one area would have left the rest failing right behind it. A full replacement let us give the whole house one roof system with matching shingles and clean transitions where the sections meet.
“Alan Landy and his team of workers replaced my roof and did a fantastic job.” Linda C., Google review
When shingles fade and wear thin across every slope, they stop shedding water the way they should. Granules wash into the gutters, the mat underneath dries out, and leaks start showing up at the seams and around chimneys. Replacing the roof before the decking rots keeps the job simpler and protects the ceilings and walls inside.

Most homes like this one are finished in one to two days, depending on the size of the roof and the weather.
If both sections are worn out, yes. Doing them together means matching shingles and one clean roof instead of an old section next to a new one.
Yes. We work across the Mon Valley and the South Hills, including West Mifflin, McKeesport, Munhall and Pleasant Hills.
A new roof is one of the first things buyers and inspectors look at. Replacing a worn roof removes a common sticking point when a house is sold.
